HiCAD 2020 - Profile installation

The profile laying module provides you with convenient options for covering walls and roof surfaces with profiles and laying elements in the shortest possible time.

You will find the functions on the ribbonProfile laying:

The following functions are available:

  • Profile relocation: Starts the dialog windowProfile layingto configure a new routing.
  • Length optimization: Allows you to extend the profiles of a profile installation in order to have to send fewer different lengths at the expense of a larger waste.
  • Packaging: Here you can divide profiles into different packages. This information is used in the drawing process.
  • Cross joints: This function enables you to mark line elements in a sketch that are to be used as cross joints during the subsequent installation.
  • Roof pitches: With this function you can mark edges for different roof pitches.

Generate general documents automatically In practice it often happens that general arrangement drawings of a construction are made manually in a separate sheet area. The automated and optimized creation / management of these important documents in HiCAD is based on the latest technology and ensures that clear production documents are generated quickly, even with extensive constructions - with dimensions and labeling suitable for production. HiCAD automatically determines the required number of drawing sheets for the components to be detailed and distributes the production views with practical logics on the drawings.

Dimensioning rules for workshop drawings are managed via the configuration management (isdconfigeditor.exe). In order to be able to edit dimensioning rules more easily and comfortably, an integrated editor for dimensioning rules is available in HiCAD.

HiCAD 2020: Parametrics for railings

As of HiCAD 2020 - analogous to installation elements - the HiCAD dialog editor (HiCAD GUI Creator) is also used to create user-specific dialogs for railing variants.

The variant editor for railings has therefore been adapted accordingly. If a parameterized part is active, this function can be used to generate a corresponding variant including a list of the variables used as a CSV file.

This file is required to create user dialogs with the HiCAD dialog editor, which can be started directly from the function dialog.
